Devices that allow objects to float above the ground are relatively commonplace; things such as vehicles, modern elevators, traffic control fixtures, and even some art galleries employ some sort of hovering technology. Hovering systems can range in strength varying from weaker systems that float an object a few inches off the ground all the way to high-powered internal vehicle mechanisms that allow for the execution of complex maneuvers without crashing into the ground due to changes in the vehicle’s center of gravity.
